Scalable drive technology for the window production machines industry

Beckhoff will present its PC- and EtherCAT-based automation solutions for the window production industry at Fensterbau/Frontale 2012, which is one of the world's leading trade fairs for windows, doors and facades and will take place between 21 and 24 March in Nuremberg, Germany. Scalable drive technology is capable of controlling the complete process chain of window production machines. The performance related drive solutions range from servo and stepper motor connection in the format of a standard Bus Terminal to the AX5000 EtherCAT drive series for the medium and upper power range (up to 118 kW). The new AM8000 motor series with single-cable feedback technology, in which the power and feedback system is consolidated in the standard motor cable, reduces material and commissioning costs significantly.
