Hannover Messe 2011 finished with a good balance: More than 6,500 companies from
65 countries presented themselves in Hanover. A total of more than 230,000 visitors came, of whom around 60,000 were from foreign countries. Beckhoff was represented at seven booths at Hannover Messe 2011: in addition to the main booth in the Industrial Automation area in Hall 9, Beckhoff was present at the Wind trade fair in Hall 27 as well as at booths of technology organisations and associations.
Beckhoff welcomed its customers and visitors to the international automation meeting with over 200 employees from 25 countries. Beckhoff presented its entire range of products for PC-based control technology on an area of around 1000 sq. metres at its main booth in Hall 9. The highlights included innovations for machine and safety technology as well as the extension of Scientific Automation; i.e. the integration of further engineering science functions into the PC controller, such as high-precision measurement technology or robot functions. The trade fair presentation at the main booth in Hall 9 was accompanied by a programme of lectures on current technology topics.
As a further topic, Beckhoff presented the special exhibition ‘25 years of PC Control – from an idea to a world standard’. Within the context of the TectoYou initiative, around 800 pupils from east Westphalia visited the Beckhoff booth to gather information about the world of automation as well as about apprenticeships and dual system studies at an international company.
