TwinCAT PLC IEC 60870-5-101/IEC 60870-5-104 Slave

In telecontrol applications, devices from different manufacturers have to communicate with each other. Standardised data exchange can easily be realised via the internationally standardised telecontrol protocols IEC 60870-5-101 for serial transfer and IEC 60870-5-104 for the TCP/IP-based transfer.

Two TwinCAT libraries support IEC 60870 programming. With TwinCAT IEC 60870-5-101 and TwinCAT IEC 60870-5-104, comprehensive function block libraries are available both for serial transfer and for TCP/IP-based transfer. These libraries run on a variety of control platforms, the CX Embedded PCs and the PCs.
