TwinCAT PLC Modbus RTU
In addition to Modbus TCP, TwinCAT devices can also communicate with Modbus RTU devices. Communication takes place via a serial RS232, RS422 or RS485 interface and is therefore suitable both for the PC/CX interfaces and for operation with the serial KL6xxx Bus Terminals. Many manufacturers of operating terminals support Modbus RTU. The Modbus RTU library offers blocks for master and slave operation. The operating devices serve as master, the TwinCAT control as slave. The configuration effort is very small.
